Ethan Cohen is a rising sophomore at Tarbut V’Torah in Irvine, CA. He has explored research in cancer biology and microbiology, and assists with teaching advanced mathematics. He leads the school’s Philosophy Club and has a strong interest in psychology. Outside the classroom, Ethan is a competitive skier in regional events. He hopes to pursue collegiate and graduate studies in microbiology and oncology, bringing a focused and analytical approach to his work, both in the lab and on the slopes.
Beyond his academic pursuits, Ethan is deeply committed to social entrepreneurship and giving back to his community. He believes scientific knowledge should be accessible beyond the laboratory and actively mentors younger students in mathematics and scientific thinking. His entrepreneurial mindset drives him to view challenges as opportunities to create lasting societal impact, with aspirations to eventually combine his research interests with ventures that benefit underserved populations and inspire the next generation of scientists.
Ethan Cohen
Dayton is a dedicated 15-year-old musician, athlete, and social entrepreneur from Woodbridge High School in Irvine. With music serving as a foundational element of his artistic development, he has had the privilege of studying with distinguished artists including Prof. Wei Yi Yang, Prof. William Grant Naboré, Prof. Baruch Meir, and Prof. Melvin Chen through various masterclass opportunities. Since age 13, he has been a student at the Opus119 Music Foundation under the mentorship of Prof. Ethan Yi Dong, whose guidance has been pivotal in shaping his musical growth and artistic vision. Complementing his musical pursuits, Dayton maintains an active commitment to tennis, which has developed his discipline, strategic thinking, and focus—qualities that enhance both his approach to musical performance and his entrepreneurial endeavors.
Driven by a passion for social impact, Dayton is committed to bridging the gap between entrepreneurial innovation and community service. He believes in harnessing business acumen for positive social change and works to identify local and global challenges where young people can make a tangible difference. His multifaceted pursuits in music, athletics, and social entrepreneurship reflect his commitment to continuous learning, artistic development, and creating positive impact in his community while inspiring others to use their talents for the greater good.
